Woni Spotts, an American cross-cultural anthropologist, genealogist, certified by the World Records Union as the first Black woman to travel to every country and continent.
Research focuses on global cultural history, comparative religion, mythology, and Black American history. Field-based cultural research conducted across every country and region informs comparative analysis of identity formation, cultural transmission, and social structures across human civilizations. Work integrates anthropological method, philosophical inquiry, and cultural theory, drawing on direct field experience among the indigenous.
Spotts holds a BA, MA, and PhD ABD in Philosophy with a concentration in Anthropology and has been inducted into the Hidden History Museum in Los Angeles.
